Life seems to turn into a whirlwind going down a drain whenever kids get sick. Not sick like the daycare cough that lasts all winter. Sick like can't leave the house, worried sick, ER visit kind of sick. My Tman had the world's longest stomach bug. I've never seen anything like it. So trying to find a small detail within this hell of a week was difficult, to say the least. Most of the details consisted of loads of laundry, cups of juice, and Lysol wipes.
But on Saturday, the skies cleared (literally and figuratively) for a little while, and we were able to get him outside for some much needed fresh air. It's amazing what some fresh air can do for your body and mind. So we set out to play on his power wheels for a little while and with chalk in the driveway.
Tman only has 4 pieces of chalk. And one of the colors is black. Since our driveway is black, that piece is essentially useless. So the other 3 colors have been worn down to stubs now (post taking this picture). Luckily I heard one of his aunties is holding on to an Easter basket with a bunch of new chalk in it. Since he had the stomach bug we couldn't enjoy any Easter festivities this year, and have yet to collect all his goodies since he's only now starting to bounce back.
So T was coloring in the driveway, I was sunning in a chair next to him and noticed he was drawing T's, over and over again. He first did it maybe a month or so ago and I don't know if he knows any other letters because he only spontaneously writes T's so far but I love that he was practicing his writing with chalk in the driveway.
We also traced his body on the driveway in silly poses and colored them in, he thought that was hilarious.
