A quick snapshot of week 13's weekend...potty training, hard core. We went the cold turkey method. No pull ups, just straight to underwear, trying to potty every 30 minutes. He actually wasn't too bad. Getting him to sit on the potty was the biggest battle, but once he agreed to sit on the potty, we were able to prevent the majority of accidents. He still isn't consistently asking to go yet, but progress was definitely made. After day 2, I decided to make this potty chart to record it, not only for Tman to see his progress, but for myself as a keepsake.
Now this was not the image I planned to share for week 13. Actually, I had the most magical, candid moment happen and I captured it on camera without disturbing it. I heard Tman being quiet again, after seeing him scurry from his room to mine. I tip toed down the hallway and peeked in my room. He had climbed up on my bed (which just so happened to be perfectly made--the stars were clearly aligned for this image as you can tell), and perfect light was pouring in the windows onto him, reclined on the pillows, knees propped up, reading Hop on Pop.
I had time to go get my camera, decide my settings, and snap the picture (and a few others) before he even realized I was there. It was perfection. What happened to that image? My tired mommy self thought it had been uploaded to my computer already, and I erased the images on my memory card. It wasn't uploaded. Boo. So after this realization, I snapped this one of our potty chart. Maybe the stars will someday align in my favor again for me to capture this moment again...but at least I have the memory.
